Samurai es el resultado del trabajo realizado en Experimento, Residencia en Video Experimental, parte del 4º Festival Proceso de Error realizado por INVE Plataforma Experimental de Artes, Valparaiso, abril 2017. Las primeras muestras posteriores a la exhibición de la pieza en Valparaíso, son en The Neon Heater Gallery (Findlay, Ohio), y en Project 1612 (Peoria, Illinois) Estados Unidos, entre mayo y junio de 2017.
La pieza audiovisual trabaja a partir del beat de la imagen en relación al ritmo sonoro, re-significando el lenguaje audiovisual en torno al formato del video clip. Las imágenes son tomadas de publicidad de los años 60, re-significando irónicamente su uso y abuso en la entrega de otros mensajes posibles. Fue reallizada como video clip para el tema musical compuesto por Miguel Micherlson y Gustavo Espinoza.
Samurai is the result of the work carried out in Experiment, Residence in Experimental Video, part of the 4th Festival Error Process realized by INVE Experimental Platform of Arts, in Valparaiso, and was made as a video clip for the theme song composed by Miguel Micherlson and Gustavo Espinoza. The audiovisual piece works from the beat of the image in relation to the sound rhythm, re-meaning the audiovisual language around the video clip format. The images are taken from advertising of the 60’s, ironically re-meaning their use and abuse in the delivery of other possible messages.
